I am a professionally trained singer with an extensive background in musical theater (Broadway musicals) and classical voice (opera).

I have been teaching private voice lessons to students of all ages and backgrounds since 2015.

My classical training makes it easy to branch out into any other genre and application. I'm a voice actor, I'm in a rock band, and I sing weeb songs all day on the internet >:)

You can do private lessons as frequently as you like. Typically, my students have 1 lesson per week.

The lesson can be up to 1.5 hours.

You can only have one streamed lesson per month.

A lot of learning how to sing is learning how to make silly noises that we will refine later.

I'll probably ask you to sound like a dog, a cat, a mouse... I PROMISE IT WORKS. ASK MY STUDENTS.

Matching pitch - how accurately can you sing a note that I play?

If this is challenging, you're in good hands! Many of my students are working on their pitch matching skills.

Finding your range. Where are you most comfortable singing?

Low? High? In the middle?

More in-depth vocal exercises for strengthening those singin' muscles!

Demonstrating proper posture and effective breathing for singing.

Show me what you've got! I'll ask you to sing your song for me.

We will figure out where your strengths and weaknesses are.

We'll go back and work on the song in small chunks. I will guide you through techniques that will help you sing each passage healthily and with ease.

Sing the song again with the things you've learned!

We will review what we've learned during the lesson and create a practice plan for you.

Whether or not you decide to continue taking lessons from me, I will always leave you with a list of things you can work on to keep improving and strengthening your voice.

Your lesson will be MOST EFFECTIVE if we have a video call.

VTubers and anyone who might be worried about your identity/face being leaked or something -- I understand. As a VTuber myself, I also worry about my identity/face being shared without my consent.

We can even sort out something in writing if that helps you feel more comfortable.

I can demonstrate exactly what I want you to do, so that you can easily try to copy what you see.

I get to see exactly what you're doing, so that I can tell you exactly how to adjust.

Everyone has physical habits that they can't catch on their own.

Key components of vocal technique that I look out for:

Posture

Breathing

Mouth shape

Tension

Emotion

Bad habits

You will improve significantly faster.

If you're on desktop/PC and you have a camera, you're chillin'!

If you're on a mobile device like a phone or tablet, it would be helpful to have a second device to play music from.

If you leave the Discord app to play your song on a different app, your video feed will go away.

I need to be able to see you while you sing, with the music playing at the same time.

It is still possible to have an effective and meaningful lesson through a voice-only call.

Fortunately, I can still hear what you're doing to an extent. I'm pretty good at listening for most of the key components listed above.

This option is perfect for anyone who struggles with a lot of anxiety about showing their face.

I completely understand that this could induce anxiety that would ultimately hinder the learning process.

I want all of my students to feel safe and comfortable, especially since learning a new skill can be uncomfortable and difficult in itself.

You can start off doing voice-only lessons and then start doing video lessons if you feel comfortable later on.

You can still make huge improvements over time.

I would have to explain in words what I want you to do (like moving your hand in a certain way) instead of just showing you, so explaining things might take longer.

You could be doing something incorrectly but I'm unable to catch it.

I will either be showing my face or using one of my VTuber models on stream.

You can turn on your webcam in the Discord call, or use a VTuber model / fugi

I will screenshare your video feed onto my stream.

This is the most effective type of streamed lesson.

You will be streaming your model to me through Discord (I can help you set this up).

A "fugi" is a PNG that bounces every time you speak in the Discord call (I can help you set this up)

Turn off "Automatically determine input sensitivity" and slide the white indicator all the way to the left.

Under "Voice Processing" turn off "Echo Cancellation"

For "Noise Supporession", click "None"

Turn off "Automatic Gain Control"
